Functional Testing

  • Functional Blood Labs

We offer a variety of lab markers in our functional blood lab workup. This is a very thorough workup that often includes more blood lab markers than most of our clients have had with their traditional medical providers, allowing us to get a better picture of each clients’ physiology. We use specific functional lab ranges which are narrower than typical medical lab ranges, to identify early patterns of dysfunction and imbalance before leading to a disease state outside of medical lab ranges.

  • HTMA

Hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA), is an analytical test which measures the mineral content of the hair. The sampled hair, obtained by cutting the first inch and one-half of growth closest to the scalp at the nape of the neck, is prepared in a licensed clinical laboratory through a series of chemical and high temperature digestive procedures. Clinical results have shown that a properly obtained sample can give an indication of mineral status and toxic metal accumulation following long term or even acute exposure.

The HTMA reveals a unique metabolic world: intracellular activity, which cannot be seen through most other tests. This provides a blueprint of the biochemistry occurring during the period of hair growth and development.

  • Hormone Testing - DUTCH

The DUTCH test, (Dried Urine Testing for Comprehensive Hormones), is the gold standard of hormone testing. The DUTCH test uniquely evaluates hormonal fluctuations throughout the monthly cycle for premenopausal women, as well as provides a comprehensive report of sex hormones and androgens and their metabolites for premenopausal, perimenopausal, and menopausal women.

  • GI MAP

The GI Map is stool testing used to evaluate gastrointestinal microbes that may be disturbing normal microbial balance or contributing to illness as well as indicators of digestion, absorption, inflammation, and immune function.

  • Other Functional Testing

In addition to our most common tests ordered, sometimes clients need more specialty testing such as stool tests to evaluate gut health, infection panels, Organic Acids Tests, Mycotoxin panels, etc., and we are able to order any of that additional testing when needed according to the individual needs of each client.
